RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It is an application of the Internet meta language XML. Follow the below steps to download RSS reader:

1. Check whether the Microsoft.Net framework is already installed on your computer. You can do this by starting your desktop by open ‘Start', select ‘Control Panel' and click on ‘Software'. In the window that appears you see a list of all your applications. The latest version is already installed if Microsoft.NET Framework 1.1 is listed. If so, continue with Step 2.. Follow the steps 'Start', 'Settings', 'Control Panel', 'Software' if you're a Windows 98 or Windows 2000 user.

It is necessary that you first download Microsoft.NET Framework 1.1 if it is not listed. Please check the Microsoft Windows Update page.

Click ‘Install Updates' at the left side of the page.

Select Microsoft. NET Framework 1.1 in the list and click on ‘Install Updates'.

Select ‘Install'.

The wizard will guide you through the rest of the installation process.

2. You can download the RSS reader on http://www.rssreader.com if the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 is already installed.

  • Click on the ‘download' button.
  • Select rssreader.exe to download.
  • Choose where you want to save this file and save it on your computer by clicking the ‘Save' button.
  • Click on ‘open'.
  • Follow the instructions of the wizard.

The RSS reader is now installed.

  • From your desktop click on ‘Start' and select the RSS reader in your program list. Open the RSS reader.

3. Select and copy the URL that belongs to the category of your choice from the list below.

4. Open your RSS reader and click on ‘Add'. Copy + Paste the URL you just copied into the data field.

  • Click ‘next'.
  • Give it a recognizable name (it is possible to set up multiple searches).
  • Click ‘next'.
  • Create a new folder for it or add it to an existing folder, and click ‘OK'.

5. How can I see the latest vacancies immediatelyon your desktop ?

  • Go in the RSS reader to ‘Tools' and select ‘Options'.
  • Below the tab ‘General':
  • Check the boxes for ‘Start RSS reader when Windows starts' and ‘Check for new headlines at start-up'.
  • Go to the tab ‘Feeds' (also under ‘Tools') and select how often you want to look at new ‘headlines' and how long they should be saved.
  • Make sure that in the ‘Pop up' section (also under ‘Tools') ‘Default option' shows in new headlines pop up window" to ‘Always' state and choose how long you want the pop up appears.

You'll now see how your RSS feeds appear on the right bottom of your computer. Click on the ‘headlines' to open the RSS reader window and to see the vacancy.
